Situated high in the Pyrenees, Soldeu is in the heart of Andorra's Grandvalira ski resort.

The Principality of Andorra is perched high in the Pyrenees, bounded by the lands of the Republic of France and the Kingdom of Spain, the two countries that provide this long established co-principality with its Heads of State.

La Pleta de Soldeu is situated in the area known as La Ladera de Palinquero at the foot of the Soldeu ski slopes, just outside the small town of Soldeu and less than 20 kilometres from Andorra's capital, La Vella.

Barcelona is just 200 kilometres away and the French cities of Toulouse and Perpignan are even closer. This resort makes a feasible weekend destination for those cities' busy professionals in both winter and summer.

There is a small airport located 20km from Soldeu, in the resort of Seu d’Urgell. This is available for private aircraft and there are plans to open it to commercial airlines in the future. There is also a new airport in Lleida Alguaire (www.aeroportlleidaalguaire.com) which offers commercial flights and is just 1 hour 45 minutes from La Pleta de Soldeu. In addition, there are also plans for a regular helicopter service between Andorra and Barcelona.
